Visa Status & Eligibility
Visa-free entry may apply
No visa exemption applies to Pakistani passport holders, and holding a UK visa does not grant visa-free entry or visa-on-arrival access to the United Arab Emirates
Application notes
- Pakistani passport holders holding a UK visa are not eligible for visa-on-arrival or simplified entry pathways based solely on that document
- All tourist visa applications must be pre-arranged through a UAE-based sponsor such as an airline, hotel, or licensed travel agency
- The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) requires all applications to be submitted by a sponsor
- Ensure the passport is valid for at least six months beyond the date of entry into the UAE
- Processing typically takes three to five working days once the application is submitted by the sponsor
- Electronic visas are issued by the immigration authority and sent to the sponsor for delivery to the traveler
Application Process
Step 1
Select a UAE-based sponsor such as an airline, hotel, or licensed travel agency to process the visa application
Step 2
Complete the visa application form provided by the sponsor and submit required digital documents
Step 3
Pay the visa application fee and any service charges directly to the sponsor
Step 4
Wait for the sponsor to submit the application to the relevant UAE immigration authority via smartservices.icp.gov.ae
Step 5
Receive the electronic visa via email once approved by the immigration department
Step 6
Print the electronic visa copy to present at the airport during check-in and upon arrival
