- For Pakistani passport holders holding Saudi Arabia GCC residence permits, the standard online e-Visa clearance process through the Department of Immigration applies alongside mandatory tour booking and daily SDF payment
- All international tourists must pay a daily Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) of USD 100 in addition to the visa application fee
- Visa applications are processed by the Department of Immigration in Thimphu and must be pre-arranged before travel
- Travelers are required to book their trip through a licensed Bhutanese tour operator or hotel, who will process the visa application on their behalf
- A valid travel insurance policy covering the entire duration of the stay is mandatory for entry
- Apply at least four weeks before the intended date of travel to ensure timely processing of the visa clearance letter
