Conditional eligibility
Pakistani passport holders must obtain a Kenya Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) online before travel via etakenya.go.ke — there is no visa-on-arrival option
Application notes
- With a UAE residence permit: apply online for the Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before travel — Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA): USD 30
- Pakistani passport holders residing in the UAE with GCC status must still obtain the mandatory Kenya Electronic Travel Authorization before travel as UAE residency does not grant eTA exemption
- Kenya replaced traditional visas with the Electronic Travel Authorization system operated via etakenya.go.ke
- Applications should be submitted at least three working days before intended travel, though applying two weeks prior is recommended
- The approved eTA must be presented to airlines before boarding and to immigration officers at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport
- An approved eTA offers permission to travel but final admissibility and length of stay are determined by immigration officers at the border
