- The holding of a valid US visa does not provide an exemption or alternative entry pathway for Pakistani passport holders; the mandatory ETA requirement remains in effect via eta.gov.lk
- The Tourist ETA for Pakistani nationals is currently free of charge as of 25 May 2026 via eta.gov.lk
- Standard online ETA applications do not require CNIC, FRC, employer NOC, or FBR tax documents via eta.gov.lk
- Visa-on-arrival is not available for Pakistani ordinary passport holders; pre-travel authorization is mandatory
- The ETA is typically valid for 30 days and allows for double entry into Sri Lanka via eta.gov.lk
Application Process
Step 1
Visit the official Department of Immigration and Emigration website at eta.gov.lk to initiate the application
Step 2
Select the Tourist ETA category and complete the online application form with accurate passport details via eta.gov.lk
Step 3
Submit the application and wait for the electronic approval notice to be sent via email
Step 4
Print the ETA approval notice to present to immigration officials upon arrival at the Sri Lankan port of entry via eta.gov.lk
