- Pakistani passport holders traveling on ordinary passports must obtain an ETA online prior to departure via eta.gov.lk
- Transit airside for less than 24 hours without leaving the airport transit area may not require an ETA, but you must confirm this with your airline via eta.gov.lk
- A free Transit ETA is available for layovers between 24 and 48 hours via the official eta.gov.lk portal
- For layovers exceeding 48 hours or if planning to exit the airport, a Tourist ETA is required via eta.gov.lk
- The Tourist ETA for Pakistani nationals is currently issued at no cost under the 40-country scheme via eta.gov.lk
- Standard online ETA applications require only passport and travel details; do not submit CNIC, FRC, or employer documents for this route via eta.gov.lk
