  • Hajj requires a dedicated Hajj visa or official Hajj permit (Tasreeh) — performing Hajj on a tourist eVisa, Visa on Arrival, or standard Umrah visa is prohibited and carries fines, deportation, and entry bans
  • Since June 2025, visa-only Umrah applications are rejected: your operator must link confirmed Nusuk-approved accommodation, transport, and a Booking Reference Number (BRN) before visa issuance
  • Pakistani passport holders cannot apply for Umrah visas directly on Nusuk — applications must go through a MoRA-attested licensed operator via Nusuk Masar
  • Pakistani passport holders residing in the US, UK, or GCC cannot use the regular Pakistan domestic quota unless they return to Pakistan and apply via a Pakistan-based package — overseas residents apply through the Nusuk Hajj global portal (hajj.nusuk.sa) or licensed operators in
  • Flying from a third country: if you are a GCC resident, carry a valid exit/re-entry permit from your host country; ensure meningitis certificate is in English or Arabic
  • Departing from Pakistan: carry NADRA polio vaccination certificate and completed biometric enrollment; Route to Makkah pre-clearance may apply at Islamabad or Karachi airports
